The new yet-to-be-named is billed as a “neighborhood family style tapas restaurant and bar.” It will be housed at 86 Orchard Street. The new concept application was submitted by Domhnall Byrnes who was involved in the creation of the cocktail bar Beyond the Pale in Nolita, which bills itself as “Irish hospitality with a Manhattan twist.” It offers a selection of bar food from cheese plates to wings, as well as unique cocktails that fit into categories including “calm cool and collected,” “hyped up highballs,” “in the groove,” “truth comes out,” “ready to rumble,” “fresh outta f*cks,” and “stone cold sober.”

It also offers an array of local and Guinness draft beer, local and international bottles and cans, as well as wines.

Beyond the Pale is meant “to entice the senses and spark conversation… focused on fostering an environment built on traditional Irish hospitality.”
