Sunflower is the modern evolution of Sunflower Diner – which served the Kips Bay and Gramercy Park community for over 20 years – located down the block from its flagship. The breakfast and lunch spot serves an array of modern American food from omelettes to breakfast burritos, burrata toast, overnight oats, pitaya acai bowls, chicken and waffles, grilled chicken clubs, classic burgers, spicy vodka rigatoni, cacio e pepe, grain bowls and cobb salads. It also offers boozy brunches ranging from mimosas to bellinis, sangria and espresso martinis.

“Sunflower Diner had a great run for 20-plus years and the name became a nostalgic family mark,” the team writes on their website. “Because of the diner’s immense success, we decided to keep the name “Sunflower” and continued to watch it grow in the dining industry.”

It adds: “We are so thankful for the continuous love and support from our neighborhood customers and look forward to connecting with new foodies from all over.”
