The team behind The Local Eatery and Craft Beer in Forest Hills, Queens, is seeking a space in the East Village for a new bar concept.

The team submitted an application to acquire the ground floor space of the four-story mixed-use building at 216 Avenue A in the East Village. The unnamed concept is billed as a “tavern bar” that will serve pizza, as well as beer, wine and cider. 

Its proposed hours of operation are noon to midnight from Sunday through Wednesday and noon until 1 a.m. from Thursday through Saturday. It is slated to offer five tables with 25 seats, as well as one stand-up bar with 15 seats.

The team debuted their flagship concept in August 2020, which is a neighborhood burger and beer joint known for having over 200 types of beer cans and bottles, as well as bar food staples such as wings, sandwiches and salads.
