“It’s going to be a killer location,” CEO John Coleman says about the forthcoming outpost, which is optimally located in the shopping center complex connected to the World Trade Center that sees hundreds of thousands of commuters daily. “The nice part about it is that it’s going to be a wide open space, so [it’s] very customer and group friendly.”

“Even though it was born in Brooklyn, it’s really a city brand, so we are excited [to come to Manhattan.]”

The 7,5000-square-foot space will offer fan-favorite beers and new innovations that will be exclusively available at the lucrative location. It will also have a scratch-made kitchen menu with elevated classics, from finger food to oysters.

“It’s a step above fast-casual and a notch below high-end,” Coleman says about its menu.

It will also boast a full bar with cocktails in addition to its impressive selection of beers, wines and ciders. Customers will be able to reserve tables and host special events, as well as order to-go, he says.

Sixpoint Brewery was originally founded by Andrew Bronstein and Shane Welch in 2004 in Red Hook, Brooklyn. The company was acquired by Artisanal Brewing Venture, a decade-old regional craft beer company based in Charlotte, around 2018, Coleman says. About a year ago, the team opened a taproom in City Point, Brooklyn.

ABV owns a handful of brands including New York’s Southern Tier, Virginia’s Bold Rock Hard Cider and Pennsylvania’s Victory Brewing Company, with taprooms in New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Virginia and North Carolina.

As a Bay Ridge native, himself, Coleman says he was particularly elated to take the reins of Sixpoint.

“I was really excited to acquire it because I was always a fan of the brand,” the Fort Hamilton alum says. “I’m looking forward to spending more time up there.”

The beer enthusiast adds: “Beer is proof that God loves us.”
