This will be the New York City-based coffee chain’s 14th location in the city, having just opened its newest shop recently on 136 Church Street in Tribeca. It also has one store in Seoul, Korea, and plans to open a new location on Long Island City around mid-summer, Lyman says. The two newly-planned stores are currently in the construction phase. Lyman says they are waiting for “the i’s to dot and t’s to cross” before announcing the respective addresses.

The independent speciality coffee shop opened its first location on 27th and Madison in 2009. It was co-founded by friends Lyman and Paul Schlader.

The shop has over a dozen of its own blends, with beans ethically sourced from all over the world.

It offers staples as well as limited edition options including its newer Bazooka collaboration blend billed as a “timeless, comforting coffee” that is, in fact, not gum-flavored. The duo fondly recall reading the comics as kids, making the blend to honor its 75th anniversary last year.

It also has a Bully blend inspired by their love of pitbulls, which donates 100% of its proceeds to animal care centers in the city.
