167 Chrystie Street is an eye-catching new development on the lower east side. Designed by ODA Architects, the project has been in development since 2018, when Arava Group filed for the permits with Be-Aviv and Nexus Building Development Group. Now, as the development nears closer to completion, a new hospitality group has acquired the lease to the ground floor in order to develop an exciting new bar and restaurant.

Pinky Swear is the latest new project to arrive from owner Ryan Kupchik. Ryan is one of the principals behind Wallabout Entertainment and served as the Executive Vice President of Grand Hotels Lux, a luxury hotel chain that operates four different properties across Argentina and Uruguay. Grand Hotels Lux operates 6 different restaurants and bars in their hotels, and they are also in the process of opening up a rooftop bar at their Uruguay hotel. Now, Ryan is taking his experience and developing a brand new concept in the new development at 167 Chrystie Street.

Pinky Swear is a new restaurant and immersive cocktail lounge that will serve elevated New American meals like fried chicken sandwiches, plant-based burgers, fish and steak entrees, and salads like lobster cobb and wild salmon. Designed to be a hub for friends and visitors, the space will feature installations from local and international artists, reimagined arcade games, and background recorded music. Depending on the day and hour, Pinky Swear will also offer a morning brunch menu with pancakes, omelets, and grapefruit, as well as a late night menu offering cheese plates, burgers, fries and dips. Pinky Swear sources organic, local, sustainable produce as well as meat, fish, and dairy from antibiotic-free, pasture-raised animals where possible.

Of course, Pinky Swear will also offer an elevated beverage program that will offer house-made cocktails using organic produce, herbs, & botanicals. The sample menu given for Pinky Swear lists over 25 unique cocktails on offer, and the team is now getting ready to meet with the community board to acquire the necessary liquor license. They are proposing operating hours of 4:00 PM – 2:00 AM Monday to Friday, and 11:00 AM – 2:00 AM on Saturday and Sunday.
