According to a liquor license application filed with Manhattan Community Board 4, Zubeia LLC is preparing to open on the top floor of the newly constructed hotel. Qiaoyu Ge is listed as the owner of Zubeia LLC and is linked to Mayflower Business Group LLC.

Ge did not immediately respond to What Now NY’s outreach.

New York YIMBY reported that construction of the 319 West 35th St. complex seems to have topped out, marking the start of the next stage of the 25-story building’s development. The building is supposed to have 3,399 square feet of commercial space, including that taken up by Zubeia LLC.

In 2023, Traded: New York covered a $15 million construction loan from Shanghai Commercial Bank that developers at 319 West 35th St. secured in order to bring the 166-unit space to completion. It is unknown if the timing of Zubeia LLC’s opening will coincide with the building’s overall completion.

319 West 35th St.’s current completion date is projected for the winter of 2024, but will likely be delayed until 2025, according to New York YIMBY.

Menus attached to the liquor license application show that Zubeia LLC’s offering will revolve around its extensive beverage selection including Chinese liquors, wines, craft beers and signature cocktails. There will also be small plates and dessert options available.

Designs for the bar’s layout included in the liquor license application indicate a nine-seat bar and ample seating options including small tables and couches. There will be 51 seats through the space.
