Fourteen years after debuting her flagship concept, Mandy Oser is proposing a new concept
called Dot’s Cafe, which she bills as a “cafe and eatery” with a “curated pantry” selection. It will serve breakfast and lunch, as well as pre-made to-go items, from 7 am to 12 am, according to its liquor license application. Its proposed menu offerings include breakfast options like a signature egg sandwich and smoked fish toast, lunch options like a tuna nicoise sandwich and sabich, soups like roasted tomato and lemony chicken with dill, grain bowls, salads, and a grab-and-go selection.
She is seeking the space at 515 W. 52nd St., which is slated to offer 14 tables with 28 seats as well as a bar.
Oser opened her first concept in 2009. She tapped chef Bernardo Garcia to create the restaurant’s shareable dishes, which complement their wide variety of wines. It boasts over 20 wines by the glass and 100 by the bottle, both local and international, as well as house-crafted cocktails and a mix of local and international beers.
