Gemini & Scorpio are two funky Brooklyn gals who have spent the past two decades redefining what event planning really means in New York. Running the second-largest non-commercial NYC events list since 2002, Gemini and Scorpio are known for hosting lavish and outrageous themed costume parties with live entertainment. Fusing together burlesque, circus, cabaret, and steampunk, the two friends have put together some of Brooklyn’s most dazzling parties.

Miss Scorpio (known to the mundane as Larisa Fuchs), is a stylish and intellectual artist who has spent her life accumulating a wealth of fascinating experiences like traveling with carnivals and gypsy bands. Curating some of the most artistic themed parties the neighborhood has ever seen, Miss Scorpio is a master of event production and regularly provides events consultation for outside organizations like National Geographic Traveler.

Miss Gemini, meanwhile (who is also known as Jamie Kiffel-Alcheh) describes herself as an “old-world mystic, Bollywood deity, and rock star bottled within the body of Tinkerbell.” The senior editor of Vital Juice Los Angeles, she has spent decades of her life writing about and interviewing some of the most interesting people in the world. Together, the combined knowledge and experiences of Madams Gemini and Scorpio have turned the two into one of the most indispensable sources for stunning event planning.

Formerly a Brooklyn operation, the two funky gals will finally be bringing their creative vision to Manhattan. While their Brooklyn loft has temporarily closed, the team is planning a brand new project at 6 St Marks Street, the former home of St Marks Karaoke. Featuring 16 rooms of standalone themed interactive experiences, the project is a multi-room version of their Plum Blossom Parlor. Available for 90 minute bookings for groups of 2-8 people, the installation will include family-friendly options, adults-only evenings, and even brunch.

The team is currently in the process of acquiring a new liquor license for the space, but they need the help of residents to make sure that it happens. Gemini and Scorpio are currently enlisting help on Instagram from any potential neighbors who can endorse the concept and sign their petition, so if you live in the area and can’t wait to see the new space blossom, be sure to follow the team on Instagram and offer your support as they move forward with the next phase of development.
