It is slated to serve soups, sandwiches, salads, sides and sweets inspired by French and American home cooking. The menu will highlight seasonal, fresh local ingredients with a rotating selection of food, including freshly baked focaccia. Owner Tiffany Iung shared that the name and concept is inspired by her time in Paris. Her storefront will replace Peasant Stock, a long-standing stall that closed this summer after a decade.

She has also currently manages a blog website where she shares recipes and cooking-related tips, as well as contributes to the popular food blog The Modern Proper. While this will be Iung’s first storefront, she holds years of experience as a worker, server and public relations coordinator in the hospitality industry, as well as a master’s degree in Food Studies from New York University, where she focused her studies on food access and grocery stores.

“I started my business with a bicycle in Paris, falling in love with food & culture,” she wrote on her website.

She adds: “Sandwiches bring her the most joy, and she’s always looking for the next best loaf of bread to eat with as much butter as possible.”
