Mediterranean lovers are in for a treat, as one of the city’s favorite hummus restaurants is currently developing plans to open a new location in the Upper West Side.
Hummus Kitchen is a popular Mediterranean restaurant from restaurateur Sharon Hoota. Established in 2008, Sharon set out to bring the highest quality middle eastern food he could find to the good people of New York. Protein-rich and packed with vitamins, Hummus Kitchen was established to provide guests with food that was as delicious as it was healthy. With a humble menu described as “simple and folksy,” every dish is prepared with top end raw ingredients like vegetables, whole grains, and beans.
Today, Hummus Kitchen currently operates three locations in the city, on the Upper East Side, Hell’s Kitchen, and in Murray Hill. In addition, Sharon also operates the popular Converso Kosher Mexican Grill and Zizi. Now though, Sharon is currently developing plans to open a brand new Hummus Kitchen Location at 175 West 90th Street.
Currently in the process of applying for a new liquor license for the space, the new Hummus Kitchen will be bringing its signature Middle Eastern style to the people of the Upper West Side. The interior space is expected to have enough space to comfortably seat 42 guests, but the planned outdoor space will be able to add an additional 72 seats, which will be an especially welcome boon when summer finally arrives.
The restaurant is currently expected to operate from 10:00 AM – 11:30 PM, seven days a week. However, Sharon explained to What Now New York that he has not yet signed the lease for the new space, so all of these plans are tentative until Sharon has fully secured the lease.
