Naya Middle Eastern Counter And Grill is a popular chain of quick service restaurants that offers “seriously wholesome” Middle Eastern rolls, bowls, and salads. The company was established in 2008 by founder Hady Kfoury as a fast-casual spinoff of Naya Mezze & Grill, an elegant sit-down restaurant that serves traditional Lebanese fare in a contemporary setting. Based out of New York at 1057 Second Avenue, Naya’s unique take on Lebanese cuisine soon became so popular that customers demanded even more – and Naya Counter was born.

Today, Naya can be found in numerous locations across the city, including the Financial District, Moynihan Train Hall, Chelsea, and Union Square, and has recently begun expanding into new markets like Philadelphia, Connecticut, and New Jersey. Their most recent expansion saw the team developing their first expansion across the East River at Brooklyn Commons, and soon the team will be developing a brand new outpost in Midtown.

Naya’s latest expansion will be arriving on the ground floor of RFR Realty’s 285 Madison Avenue. Located between East 40th and East 41st streets, Naya will be occupying a 2,400 square foot space in a building that also houses reputable brands like Tommy Hilfiger, Inday, and Dos Toros. Once open, guests can expect to enjoy Naya’s premium offerings of Lebanese rolls, bowls, and salads, which can be customized with protein options like chicken shawarma, beef shawarma, kafta lamb kebab, and felafel, and topped with items like hummus, baba ghanouj, feta cheese, tahini, Lebanese pickles, and numerous other options.

Brandon Singer, the CEO of Retail By Mona that brokered the deal for the landlord, told Commercial Observer that the deal is “a testament to Midtown and a testament to Madison Avenue and the Grand Central area,” noting that the location is “an amazing high-trafficked area, and office is back, therefore the retail and food and beverage users that are attractive to office workers are back.”

While you wait for the new location to open, you can visit any of their locations currently in operation or visit their website for details on their private catering services. Additionally, you can follow Naya on Instagram for regular updates on all of their latest expansions and new deals.
