With a new, much smaller space in the East Village (128 Second Ave. near St. Marks Place), they decided to relaunch as quick service takeout and delivery with a few of their most popular dishes offered as sandwiches. The offerings draw on the family’s New Orleans roots and feature three sandwiches including two made with their unique signature grilled burdock root “crawfish” – Craw Pretzel Boy with remoulade sauce, a vegan take on the crawfish po-boy on a pretzel bun, and BBQ Craw Sandwich smothered in bayou BBQ sauce. SV Nugget Sandwich and Lemon Crusted Nuggets (soy protein) will be available as well, along with fries tossed with Cajun seasoning and housemade organic desserts: Raw Cheesecake made from cashews, walnuts and dates; Salted Pecan Chocolate Chip Cookies and cupcakes. Beverages include fair trade Maine Root organic sodas.

A vegan food pioneer in Harlem and self-trained chef, Brenda Beener first started serving out of a local bakery in 2010 when vegan options were not widely available in the neighborhood. She partnered with her son Aaron to open their restaurant in 2014, then pivoted to only takeout and delivery during the pandemic. Drawing on that experience, a new Seasoned Vegan to-go concept became Seasoned Vegan Real Quick. Hours will be 11am – 12am daily for takeout and delivery only.
