The nearly two-decades-old chain boasts 15 outposts all over the world, from Miami to Mexico City to Mykonos, where it offers “Mediterranean cuisine, elegant architecture and personalized service.” Over the next five years, the team plans to unveil multiple new concepts and destinations. The global hospitality group behind the concept also operates the Parisian brand Loulou and Raspoutine in Miami. The team is led by its corporate chef Rocco Seminara from France who has nearly 30 years of experience in the hospitality industry

“Bagatelle is a love letter to the French Riviera,” said Aymeric Clemente, the restaurant brand’s president, in its liquor license application. “At Bagatelle we cultivate an environment that demonstrates our dedication to superior service and unrivaled ambiance while offering a luxurious and unique experience.”

He adds: “Combining Mediterranean cuisine, local cuisine and world cuisine, Bagatelle’s culinary offerings evolve with the seasons.”

The new location at 413 W. 14th Street is slated to offer 44 tables with 168 seats, as well as one bar with 10 seats, and will be open from 11 a.m. to 2 a.m. daily.

Clemente and fellow Frenchmen Rémi Laba joined forces in the early 2000s to open the first Bagatelle in New York City. The duo imagined a place where patrons could celebrate the “festive spirit, generous cuisine and friendly atmosphere” of the South of France.

Their personal philosophy is that dining at Bagatelle should feel like “being invited in the home and to the table of an epicurean bon vivant from the French Riviera.”

Its gourmet menu ranges from a local burrata to grilled octopus to lamp chops. Its prices range between $21-$45 for appetizers, $19-$29 for salads, $28-$61 for pâtes, $45-$145 for poultry, and $12-$24 for sides.
