What Now NY connected with Rome to Brooklyn Pizza’s owner and chef Aurel Xhepexhiu.

“We are looking forward to continuing the journey we are on,” said Xhepexhiu. “People have responded very well to our food. With this new location in Greenpoint we are eager to make people happy with our pizzas in a new part of town.”

The menu at Rome to Brooklyn focuses on New York-style pizzas and Italian fare. Dishes include panzerotti, Sicilian arancinis, pizzas, pastas, focaccia paninis and salads.

According to Xhepexhiu, this new location on Manhattan Avenue is significantly larger than his currently open operation at 755 Grand St. He shared that there are 12 tables inside. Renovations to the space included adding mahogany wood to some counters and marble in other places. The entire space is designed to have a rustic vibe.

“We are very excited to open in Greenpoint,” said Xhepexhiu. “This is the neighborhood where I learned to make pizza in the first place. Opening this location is a full circle moment. It feels like going home.”

Chef Xhepexhiu anticipates opening his second location of Rome to Brooklyn Pizza in the coming weeks.
