The curated organic-only wine store is seeking the space formerly occupied by The Fragile Flour at 122 E 7th Street in the East Village for a sit-down concept. The yet-to-be-named concept will be a bar tavern with wine, beer and cider, a limited food menu and recorded music. Jones Street Wine is known for sourcing its selection from families that use “organic and biodynamic” winemaking techniques, from Florez Wines Kind of Orange Sauvignon Blanc to Estate Pinot Noir Johanneshof Reinisch.

Jones Street Wine’s slogan is: “No floor-to-ceiling shelving. No number rankings. No pretense.”

“We’re always pushing new wines forward while paying proper respect to the classics,” the team writes on their website. “We’re right at that spot where new wines hit the U.S. market. The selection evolves as the grape harvest cycles.”
