It will be housed in the space formerly occupied by Ecco!, which closed back in December 2019. The spot is a collaborative effort between restaurateurs Brendan Spiro and Paul Italia who had their liquor license approved back in Spring 2021. The time lapse, Spiro told Tribeca Citizen, is the result of needing to clean up and renovate the space after being neglected for so long. Spiro has over 16 years of experience doing restaurant consulting with his company Quality Restaurant Corp and has also owned his own establishments. Italia owns the comedy club The Stand NYC in Union Square.

The comedy club also has a high-end restaurant that offers seafood including local oysters, little neck clams, shrimp cocktail, salmon belly tartar and a seafood tower, as well as mussels, a hot shellfish platter, seafood fra diavola, a salmon steak and cod saltimbocca.

There are a few other restaurants in the neighborhood that serve seafood including but not limited to Thalassa Restaurant, The Oyster Bar, 1803 NYC and Del Frisco’s Grill.
