April Fools! Of course there are new restaurants coming to New York, and your stalwart reporters at What Now will always be here to give you the latest scoop. Today, news has broken out about a brand new restaurant called Da Radda that is scheduled to open up in the East Village later this year. Owned by entrepreneur Sergio Raddavero, Da Radda is described as an Italian-Argentinian fusion restaurant, a relatively novel concept that certainly invites a lot of intrigue.

Sergio will be opening Da Radda up at 127 East Seventh Street, replacing the popular Papilles restaurant that formerly occupied the space. Featured in the Michelin Guide, Papilles was a well-known date spot that served high quality food in an intimate space. While the owners of Papilles have announced their intention to open a new location in North Salem, no further information on that project has been given at this time.

The space is appropriately intimate, and will be able to accommodate about 40 seats inside. The space also features a four-seat bar at the front of the restaurant, and is scheduled to operate from 9:00 AM – 12:00 AM, every day seven days a week. At the moment, Da Radda is still too early into development to have its own social media presence, but once Sergio has acquired the liquor license for the space more information will be forthcoming.
