It already has over 50 locations throughout the country and will be making its northeast debut soon. It expects to open 35-40 stores across New York, New Jersey, Connecticut and Pennsylvania. The expansion was made possible by a partnership with Doherty Enterprises, a renowned restaurant company based in New Jersey that owns and operates over 130 locations across multiple states, including chains such as Applebee’s, Panera Bread and Chevys Fresh Mex.

JINYA is known for its uniquely slow-cooked ramen made with six signature broths that are simmered for 20 hours in-house. All of their ingredients are sourced from Japan. It was founded by Japanese-American Tomo Takahashi whose father is a successful restaurateur in Japan with an Isakaya-style restaurant of the same namesake.

Takashasi says east coasters can expect the same experience offered throughout the country at their new locations.

“If they have visited a JINYA Ramen Bar [before], they should expect the same authentic ramen and exciting atmosphere that they’ve fallen in love with,” Takahashi tells What Now New York through a translator. “If this is their first experience with JINYA, we hope they will be impressed with the attention to detail that goes into each bowl of ramen and every dish we create. We want to create as authentic an experience as we can for our guests.”
