The popular pizza parlor is looking to open a second outpost in the West Village this summer. Its exact address and grand opening date have not been revealed yet.

One of the city’s most popular pizza parlor’s L’Industrie is making its big Manhattan move this summer.

Owner Massimo Laveglia, a native of Pistoia, Tuscany, opened its flagship at 254 S 2nd Street in Williamsburg in 2017. As business started booming, the team decided to expand into the space next door in spring 2021. It is now opening its second outpost in West Village, however its owners are keeping its exact location hush for now. No need to fret though because it won’t be long until Manhattanites can grab a slice, a sandwich or their signature burrata, the latter of which the New York Times considers one of the city’s most essential dishes. The team also partnered with Alex and Adam Saper of Eataly to open the new outpost. L’Industrie is one of a few new-wave Brooklyn pizza parlors making its way to Manhattan this year, including Lucia Pizza of Avenue X.

“One thing about us is that we make things we are inspired by, so we don’t have a set menu,” General Manager Nick Baglivo says. “But we want to make sure our pizza quality is the best we can do. That’s our top priority. To make good pizza, you’ve got to be on top of it all the time. You can’t be complacent.” 

The new location will uniquely offer soft serve and wine by the glass. Otherwise it will offer the same top-quality pizza, daily sandwiches and desserts as its flagship. 

“[We] keep it classic Italian in the sense of relying on good ingredients, no frills, and letting the ingredients speak for themselves,” Baglivo says.
