The first Shake Shack opened 20 years ago in Madison Square Park. At the time, the founders likely had no idea they were creating a concept that would become a cultural institution across the U.S. and beyond.

With over 500 locations system-wide, Shake Shack has quite the portfolio; but it is getting a little bigger with a new location set to open later this year. According to a press release, Shake Shack is opening a new location at 10 Columbus Circle.

Located on the 3rd floor of The Shops at Columbus Circle, Shake Shack is creating a quick dining option for guests in the shopping mall.

Shake Shack’s menu includes angus beef burgers, crispy chicken, hand-spun milkshakes, house-made lemonades, beer and wine.

According to documents filed for a liquor license with Community Board 4, there will be 10 tables and 36 seats for guests in the restaurant. Shake Shack’s CEO Randall Garutti and CFO Katherine Fogertey were listed as the principals for the new location on the liquor license application.

A representative for Shake Shack was not able to share additional information about the opening timeline beyond the press release’s initial projection of a 2024 opening.
