Local Gaming Cafe Appears to be Eyeing Second Spot in Lower East Side

Waypoint Cafe looks to be eyeing a second location at 109 Ludlow Street, according to recently filed permits. It currently has one spot in the city at 65 Ludlow Street.

Waypoint Cafe, owned by Gino Gigante, is known for its combination of gaming and cafe offerings. It offers games ranging from “Call of Duty” to “Among Us” as well as a drink and food menu. It serves handcrafted coffee and tea beverages, Red Bull, seltzers, breakfast items, sandwiches, pizzas and pastries. It also recently announced new burger offerings on its Instagram page.

Waypoint Cafe advertises itself on its Instagram page as a spot for local gaming tournaments and as a hub for local gamers to hang out while enjoying food and beverages.

The plans for the new space include an internet cafe with a small event space for e-sports watch parties, gaming events and potentially live music, according to the filed application.

What Now New York has reached out to the ownership for additional information about the spot but has yet to receive a response. Stay tuned for updates on this location.
