The space will feature a seafood-heavy menu, inspired by Tamburo’s coastal Massachusetts roots and his global experience in the restaurant industry. He worked for the acclaimed restaurant Momofuku Ko in New York — which boasted two Michelin stars — before opening his own spot, The North Block Hotel, in Napa Valley, Calif. He was also involved in opening Claud, a European restaurant in East Village.

Malhotra has garnered awards in the wine category, working at multiple New York City restaurants including Momofuku Ko.

The duo have put together a menu featuring starters like oysters, New England clam chowder and anadama bread with butter, and entrees such as cured trout with roe, almond and bay laurel; scallop with rhubarb and white asparagus; and halibut steamed with fig leaves. The limited dessert menu will offer items like angel food cake with kombu cream and cornmeal pudding with maple syrup.

As expected with Malhotra on board, there will be an extensive wine list, as well.

The restaurant will take over the ground floor and basement of the five-floor mixed-use building and will feature 45 indoor seats and 11 indoor tables, as well as a bar on the ground floor, according to previously filed paperwork.

The spot is expected to open in early November.
