The owner of a number of bars in the neighborhood, Ravi has been working in the industry for decades. Now that life appears to be returning back to relative normality after the pandemic, Ravi is getting ready to get back into the weeds and open yet another restaurant.
Proletariat is the latest new concept from Ravi DeRossi. While Ravi already operates a craft beer bar called Proletariat on St. Marks Place, the new Proletariat is envisioned as “a vegan Gastro Pub and pop-up restaurant with a rotating chef every 3 weeks.” An extension of the original Proletariat concept, the new bar will enhance the craft beer selection with a brand new array of plant-based dining options.
As the founder of Overthrow Hospitality, Ravi is dedicated to doing business with a purpose. The new Proletariat will offer a great selection of plant-based starters, entrees, and sides. Offering apps like Impossible Tacos and Corn Ribs, Proletariat will also serve unique entrees like Seitan Burnt Ends and Morel Mushrooms. Of course, Proletariat will also offer its signature rotating collection of craft beer, so whether you want a full meal or just want to hang out, Proletariat will have you covered.
