The franchise specializes in all things chicken. Menu items like the chicken sandwich, deluxe sandwiches, salads, sweet treats and waffle fries have catapulted the brand to being a leader in the quick service restaurant arena.
West Side Rag reported that a work permit was recently filed at the two-story mixed-use space on the Upper West Side. There are currently 10 open locations of Chick-fil-A in Manhattan, but this new site will be the first in this particular neighborhood.
“It’s our pleasure to confirm that construction for a new Chick-fil-A restaurant at 795 Columbus Avenue is underway,” a representative for the brand said in an email to What Now NY. “The locally owned and operated restaurant is slated to open in early 2025, pending any delays. We look forward to joining the Upper West Side community soon, and to serving all of our guests delicious food in an environment of genuine hospitality.”
A recent press release for the brand, the third largest quick-service restaurant company in the U.S., shared that there are upwards of 3,000 independently owned and operated restaurants in the U.S., Canada and Puerto Rico.
