Founded by native Parisian Nicolas Dutko, Tartinery is one of the premiere French restaurants in New York. Founded on Mulberry Street in 2008, Tartinery has been serving incredibly authentic French fare for over a decade. Descrbied as a casual café-bar, Tartinery is known for serving “bountiful salads, grain bowls, pastries, craft coffee by Irving Farm, fresh juices and smoothies, from breakfast to dinner, through lunch and apéro”.

Speaking of Irving Farm, the latest Tartinery will actually be replacing one of Irving Farm’s outposts on 78 West Third Street. Established on Irving Place in 1996, Irving Farm New York has been leading NYC’s coffee industry for decades with their neighborhood cafes and 20 years of roasting experience. While they may be shutting down their West 3rd outpost, they will continue to operate their other cafés across the city while providing neighborhood restaurants like Tartinery with wholesale beans.

For Tartinery’s latest expansion, the new space will feature approximately 3,500 square feet of space, divided evenly between the ground floor and basement. With such a spacious location, the new Tartinery will be able to seat at least 150 people at one time. Desiring to bring people together and foster a community around food and good living, the new Tartinery will serve their signature tartines (open-faced sandwiches) alongside a robust selection of beer and wine. To get a taste of what Tartinery offers, check out their website and be sure to try it out before the latest location opens.
