The new bar concept — whose name remains listed as “TBD” on the paperwork — is heading to the basement of the five-story mixed-use building at 286 Broome Street.

The basement area used to be home to a coffee shop. The spot will offer a tapas-style menu as well as a beverage program, likely featuring beer and wine.

Plans include 10 tables that will seat 30 and one bar that will seat eight.

The Old Rabbit Club on the West Side is at 124 MacDougal Street. For now, it is unclear if the new concept will be related to this concept.

“With an atmosphere that marries grunge sophistication and punk rock spirit, this intimate speakeasy-style bar beckons those who dare to explore the uncharted terrains of taste,” the Old Rabbit Club website states. “Bathed in dim, moody lighting, adorned with gritty décor, and pulsating with the heartbeats of rock legends, Old Rabbit Club is a sanctuary for the adventurous soul.”

Currently, a timeline is unclear for opening.
