50 Hudson Yards is a brand new development by Related Companies and Oxford Properties. One of the crown jewel’s of Related’s aggressive transformation of the Hudson Yards neighborhood, 50 Hudson Yards is a masterful 77 story tower in the heart of Manhattan’s most prestigious neighborhood. Designed by the legendary Foster + Partners, 50 Hudson Yards establishes a new blueprint for the modern office building. Covering an entire city block, 50 Hudson Yards is already home to companies like Blackrock and Facebook, connecting the best to the best in New York.

Now, as 50 Hudson Yards gets closer to completion, more information is coming about the planned catering services for the premises. The catering program will be lead by Restaurant Associates, a member of Compass Group, who is recognized as the nation’s premier on-site dining management company. Restaurant Associates has been innovating in the culinary sector for over 75 years, and has delivered hospitality excellence to guests at corporate workspaces, cultural and entertainment centers, and professional schools across the East Coast. For a building with such an established pedigree, nothing less than the best could suffice for Hudson Yards.

According to a recent liquor license application with the local community board, Restaurant Associates will be running the catering program for the numerous conference and event centers planned for the buildings first seven floors. The second floor will host a traditional restaurant, while the third and fourth floors will host a conference center and a client center, with additional multi-purpose rooms. The third floor will also be home to the building’s auditorium stage, which will be able to host large amounts of people for private events. The fifth floor will offer what is described as a “collaboration space” while the seventh floor will house the planned “learning center” as well as the kitchen and food prep area. All seven floors are being licensed to permit private events with alcohol, while the seventh floor is also being licensed for food preparation.

For the seventh floor kitchen, Restaurant Associates has an absolutely phenomenal dining program planned for 50 Hudson Yards. According to the sample menu attached with their community board application, the building’s catering service will offer an incredible variety of dishes for every possible occasion. While the options are far too numerous to list in this article, the catering service will provide both hot and cold breakfasts with a Greek yogurt bar, omelets, coffee, plenty of pastries, and even European-styled breakfast boards. For lunch they will provide signature sandwich options and pizza, alongside room-temperature lunch buffets with Mediterranean, Eastern, and American dishes, and hot lunch buffets with inspiration from Italy, Korea, and South America. They will serve mouthwatering hors d’oeuvres for private events, afternoon tea and coffee, tapas, and cheeseboards as well.

The menu also lists a service called “executive dining” that offers three course lunches and dinners, serving everything from sushi and schnitzel, to chilled carrot soup with lobster and roasted rack of lamb. There are also plenty of vegan, vegetarian, and health-conscious items available for guests as well. Of course, the team will also be offering a powerful beer, wine, and cocktail program in order to create truly elevated events for guests. Unfortunately, these services will not be available to the general public and are reserved for 50 Hudson tenants and their clients. Regardless, Related’s radical transformation of Hudson Yards has swiftly converted the neighborhood into one of New York’s most sought-after office destinations, and the new plans for 50 Hudson Yards only make the neighborhood that much sweeter.
