Adam Moonves is a well-established hospitality professional who has been behind some of the neighborhood’s most exciting new concepts. He is best known as one of the partners at Mr. Fong’s, a popular Chinatown bar on Market Street that has been operating successfully since 2018. Moonves is also one of the partners at Primo’s, the swanky Tribeca bar located inside the Frederick Hotel.

Now, Adam is getting ready to launch a brand new concept with partner Hardeep Manak, who is well known as the founder of the popular Berlin Currywurst restaurant, which can now be found in the Chelsea Market. Their new project, which is tentatively titled Two Snakes, is envisioned as a modern bar and lounge that will serve elevated cocktails in an upscale environment. Two Snakes is currently planned to open up at 318 Grand Street, between Orchard and Ludlow Streets, replacing a fabric warehouse that previously occupied the space.

Asa former warehouse, the location is relatively spacious and is expected to be able to seat about 90 guests at one time, between the interior tables and two rectangular bars. While the location features a prep kitchen, the owners have not yet indicated the kind of cuisine they intend to serve. Beyond that, Moonves and Manak have an exciting twist planned for the space that will be hard to find in other neighborhood bars.

According to the attached floor plan, Two Snakes will feature two fully functional bowling lanes, complete with bowling ball and shoe racks and a designated seating area. Additionally, the space will also feature a pool table and a juke box, giving guests plenty of ways to spend their time while they enjoy Two Snakes’ premium craft cocktails.

At the moment though, all of the details are still subject to change, as Moonves and Manak must now meet with the community board to earn approval for their new liquor license. They are currently proposing operating hours of 5:00 PM – 2:00 AM from Monday through Thursday, and 5:00 PM – 4:00 AM on Friday, 3:00 PM – 4:00 AM on Saturday, and 3:00 PM – 2:00 AM on Sunday. At this time, there no plans to establish a sidewalk cafe, and Adam and Hardeep are currently in the process of soundproofing the space in order to accommodate their new neighbors. They are still very early into development, and as such they have not yet revealed the lounge’s website.
