Beefbar is a Monte-Carlo born steakhouse founded by Riccardo Giraudi in 2005. Envisioned as a reflection of cosmopolitan culture, Giraudi sought to shirk the traditions and stiff codes of classic steakhouses by inventing a glamorous new concept that embodied the very essence of luxury. Headed by Executive Chef Thierry Paludetto, Beefbar divides its menu into 3 main axes: international street food with an elevated twist, premium meat cuts sourced from Australia, Japan, and the United States, and “iconic dishes,” including everything from sides to mains and desserts.

The global chain now boasts 19 locations worldwide in cultural capitals like Dubai, Malta, Mykonos, Monaco, Riyadh, and Doha. While New York’s globetrotting elite may have been able to sample a taste during their travels, Beefbar has never opened a location in New York until now. Moving into the former home of Tribeca’s legendary Nobu restaurant, Beefbar will be opening up at the iconic “wedding cake” building, the former AT&T headquarters located at 105 Hudson Street.

The deal was brokered by Lee & Associates NYC and RIPCO Real Estate, who represented Beefbar’s NYC sponsor, Tribeca Hospitality Group. Sam Martorella, an associate at RIPCO, said of the deal that “We set out to find a flagship restaurant space to introduce the global brand to New York City and the US,” and that “This iconic location in the heart of Tribeca provided just that.”

Beefbar’s expansion into the US is being sponsored by Tribeca Hospitality Group, lead by Aqib and Tareef Rahman, who previously ran the Rahman Development Group. Featuring a stunning 9,830 square feet of space between the lower level and first floor, the space is an equal match for a restaurant of Beefbar’s caliber. While all locations are united by the desire to provide guests with the best beef in the world and an unparalleled aesthetic experience, no two Beefbars are exactly alike. Rahman and the team at Beefbar are hard at work ensuring that the new restaurant embodies the very best of New York and incorporates Tribeca’s rich history into its design. While the team is still very early into the process of designing the space, you can follow Beefbar on Instagram for further updates as the concept develops.
