La Cabra Coffee is a modern day coffee company founded by Esben Piper. Established in Aarhaus Denmark in 2012, the company’s dedication to providing outstanding coffee experiences enabled them to cultivate a loyal following and steadily expand the brand. In 2013, La Cabra began sourcing and roasting its own coffee, fully integrating the supply chain and enabling them to control the coffee’s quality at every little. Today, La Cabra is a widely sought-after coffee roaster and works with quality driven wholesale partners to bring their coffee across the globe.

Last October, La Cabra made their first foray into the US when they launched their first New York café at 152 Second Avenue. With a custom space that was designed by Head of Coffee Mikkel Selmer, the location was designed with New York in mind and sought to establish an oasis of Nordic comfort in the heart of the East Village. The café serves a delightful lineup of seasonal coffee as well as naturally leavened sourdough, hand-laminated croissants, and other premium pastries from Head Baker Jared Sexton.

Now, the popular coffee roaster is gearing up to open a second location, this time moving into the space at 284 Lafayette Street. Featuring 950 square feet of space, the new location will see La Cabra expanding from the East Village into the bustling SoHo market. Signing a 10-year lease with CBRE Group, the lease is scheduled to start in May 2022. While you wait for more information to be released, you can follow La Cabra on Instagram for all further developments.
