S’aimer is a new restaurant concept from founders Jasmine Gerald and Linda Salamon. The two were previously behind Jasmine’s Caribbean Cuisine, a popular Midtown Caribbean restaurant that specializes in delectable cuisine hailing from Dominica, Antigua, St. Thomas, Trinidad, and Jamaica. Jasmine established her restaurant to celebrate New York’s spirit of resilience and to spread love through an immersive culinary and cultural experience.

Now, after finding great success with their Caribbean restaurant, Jasmine and Linda are getting ready to launch a brand new project. The new concept, S’aimer, translates to “love each other” in French and is expected to offer a “sophisticated” menu “comprised of appetizers and desserts as well as a bar with exotic drinks”. S’aimer is expected to open up at 338 West 46th Street, replacing Sangria 46, a popular Spanish tapas restaurant that previously occupied the space. The location is expected to seat 52 guests inside as well as an additional 30 guests in S’aimer’s proposed outdoor cafe.

According to a sample menu provided with Jasmine and Linda’s liquor license application, S’aimer will serve a wide variety of hors-d’oeuvres and desserts. Sample appetizers include mini crab cake with corn dip, shrimp cocktail, fish fingers with ratatouille, honey jerk wings, and spiced cauliflower, among many others. Sample desserts include creme brulee macarons, coffee truffles, lemon tarts, banana bread, and a vegan cheesecake.

Jasmine and Linda are currently looking to acquire a full liquor license for the space in order to complement their small-plate menu. They are currently proposing operating hours of 5:00 PM – 2:00 AM Sunday through Thursday, and 5:00 PM – 3:00 AM Saturday and Sunday, though those hours are subject to change pending the board’s approval.
