The spot is opening at 85 First Avenue between Fifth Street and Sixth Street in the former The Chippery space, according to EV Grieve.
Owners Impreet Sodhi and Ankita Nagpal launched Fomo Momo in 2021 as a side hustle. The brand, which serves Indian street food, currently operates with one permanent location — a virtual kitchen — at 400 Central Avenue in Jersey City. Fomo Momo also operates food trucks that can be found around the Jersey City area.
The menu serves steamed and fried momos — dumplings popular in Indian cuisine. The menu has momo variations like “schezwan momos” that feature Chinese flavors and Afghani momos.
“We aim to bring the authentic flavors and delicious street food of North India straight to your taste buds,” the Fomo Mom website states. “From our succulent momos [rich] in flavors to our rich and savory soy chaap, every dish on our menu is made with the freshest ingredients and authentic spices.”
As of now, it is unclear when the spot will open, though EV Grieve reports that it is “coming soon.”
