If you lived in Greenwich Village during the early 2010’s, you may remember Milady’s Bar and Grill. A popular dive bar located at 160 Prince Street, Milady’s had been in operation for decades before closing down in 2014. Referred to by the New York Times as a “Stalwart of SoHo”, Milady’s was a critical waterhole for SoHo locals beleaguered by an explosion of tourists that hit the neighborhood in the early 2000’s. Now closed for nearly seven years, an ambitious new bar owner is planning on resurrecting the iconic bar.

Susan Fedroff is a New York based restaurant owner and cocktail expert. The owner of Brooklyn’s Clover Club, Leyanda, Flatiron Lounge, and Pegu Club, Susan has been behind some of the most popular bars to hit Brooklyn and Manhattan this decade. The self-titled “Director of Hugs and Affirmations,” Susan is incredibly passionate about creating diverse and equitable spaces in New York’s nightlife scene.

Reimaging the neighborhood dive bar as a new restaurant concept, Susan describes the Milady’s revival as a “neighborhood restaurant focusing on a seasonal menu and specials” and is expected to serve brunch, lunch, and dinner seven days a week. Preserving the name of the original Milady’s bar that occupied the location, Susan’s revival will be a tribute to the legendary bar and the local SoHo community that made it so special.

Featuring 1,850 square feet of space on the ground floor and 1,000 square feet of space in the basement, Milady’s will have plenty of space to accomodate Susan’s plans for revisions. Replacing the popular Italian restaurant Coco Pazzo, the new Milady’s should be able to comfortably seat 60 guests at one time. While Susan has kept further details close to her chest for now, as more information continues to break we will continue to update you with everything you need to know.
