We All Gotta Eat, headed up by Joshua and David Foulquier, has several other concepts both in Florida and New York. It is behind Eleventh Street Pizza in Miami, and the team also opened the acclaimed Sushi Noz — which has two Michelin stars — in 2018 in New York with chef Nozomu Abe.
David said the new French concept will honor his mother, Fifi.
“It’s an ode to some of our favorite French and Basque bistros in the world,” David said. “We wanted to execute something that was high quality with the best quality ingredients in a really charming New York-meets-Paris setting in an old townhouse on the Upper East Side. So we’re very excited about it.”
The menu will feature signature appetizers such as escargots, frog legs, a royal seafood tower featuring both raw and grilled seafood and a Basque-style baked crab dish known as changurro. Entrees will include “big large-format proteins,” David said.
There will also be a cocktail bar on the second floor, which will serve a beverage program consisting of high-end seasonal cocktails.
Swedish-based Joyn Studios is behind the interior design, which will feature a lot of wood paneling as well as decor touches such as mirrors.
Currently, there is not a set opening date. However, David anticipates that they will open Chez Fifii within the next couple months.
