What Now NY reached out to Avi Bador who owns the store with his wife Rachel Benavi. The duo confirmed that plans for the new location are underway.
Patch.com reported that B&B Bagels’ expansion plans in the Upper East Side is a part of a larger trend of bagel shops opening additional locations in the neighborhood. While there is quite a bit of competition in the area, the bagel battle does not phase the B&B Bagels team. In Bador’s words, “We have the best bagels in New York City!”
The menu of classic breakfast sandwiches, bagels with spreads, breakfast platters, pastries and soups caters to the early morning, midday and afternoon crowds. B&B Bagels’ current location is open from 6:00 A.M. until 6:00 P.M. daily.
At this time, the B&B Bagels team is still finalizing details about the design of the space. However, lease details shared by Traded NY note that B&B Bagels’ will take up a 2,150 square-foot space.
“I want to grow,” said Bador in a phone interview. “We wanted to open this new location in order to serve new customers. It’s not too far from where we are located right now– and this new spot is a great location.
Bador shared that he hopes for this new B&B Bagels location to open this winter, most likely at the beginning of 2025.
