The “World’s First Avocado Bar” is gearing up for a serious expansion in New York.
Avocaderia is a popular new restaurant concept that endeavors to foster comfort and well-being through wholesome food. As the premiere destination for seasonal, nourishing, and uniquely crafted salads and bowls, Avocaderia sets out to empower their customers to do better for themselves, their community, and the world.
The restaurant was established in 2017 by founders Alessandro Biggi, Francesco Brachetti, and Alberto Gramini, who took over a 500-square-foot eatery in Brooklyn to launch an avocado-only restaurant. The restaurant earned a significant boost when Biggi appeared on Shark Tank and landed a $400,000 investment from Mark Cuban and Barbara Corcoran. Soon, Biggi and the team were able to launch their first Manhattan brick-and-mortar location in Chelsea, and the brand has been steadily expanding ever since.
Now, the team is getting ready to debut their new flagship location for NoMad. They have acquired a 2,000-square-foot space at 245 Fifth Avenue. The location is only two blocks away from Madison Square Park, and features Moroccan cement tiles artwork by Italian designer Claudia Bessi. The Nomad spot will be Avocaderia’s fourth location to date, though the team is also expecting to launch two more yet-to-be-announced locations in Manhattan later this year.
Avocadoreia offers a robust away of avocado-powered dishes, including seasonal harvest bowls as well as year-round signature salads and build-your-own options. Of course, the company is especially famous for its avocado toast, and guests can also enjoy avocado-forward sandwiches on brioche buns as well as a side of chips with Avocaderia’s signature guacamole.
Alessandro spoke to the New York Business Journal about the deal and stated that “There is a growing demand for healthy food in the neighborhood. There is a big audience of young professionals who work around here that connect with the brand and our food. NoMad has given birth to a lot of amazing food concepts, and we feel this is the right place for us to set up our flagship.”
