The business’ name is listed as Boka & Shiro Kuro on the liquor license application materials, but a sample menu lists the name of the restaurant as Shirokuro in the headline. What Now NY did not immediately hear back from a representative from the restaurant to confirm the official name.

James Lim is listed as the principal for this new restaurant. Other concepts that he is connected to are Boka at 9 Saint Marks Place, Sushi Nonaka at 410 Amsterdam Ave, and Noflex at 286 5th Ave.

EV Grieve notes that this new concept is taking over the space previously occupied by Mighty Quinn’s.

A questionnaire for the space notes that the total occupancy is 88. There will be 18 indoor tables, 5 seats at a bar, and 6 at the sushi bar. The cuisine for this new restaurant will be Japanese and Korean fusion.

A sample menu included in the questionnaire features appetizers like shishito peppers, tempura, and fried squid legs. Main courses include omakase, sushi rolls, vegetable rolls and a al carte sushi selections.

Boka & Shiro Kuro have applied for a beer and wine only liquor license, and don’t seem to have plans for any outdoor seating at this time.
